Lara Mercado

Lara María Mercado is a communications and public affairs executive whose career has been defined by strategic leadership, relationship management, and a deep understanding of Puerto Rico's civic, government, and cultural landscape. With more than a decade of experience advising high-level stakeholders, leading organizations, and managing complex initiatives, she brings a refined, client-centered perspective to real estate.

In addition to her professional work, Lara is an educator, award-winning children’s book author, and promotes early childhood literacy through her non profit work. Her commitment to service, integrity, and relationship-building continues to guide her work as she helps clients achieve their real estate goals with confidence and genuine care.

Throughout her career, Lara has built strong relationships across Puerto Rico's nonprofit, public, and philanthropic communities. These experiences have strengthened her ability to understand market dynamics, identify opportunities, and advocate effectively on behalf of her clients. She enjoys traveling both locally and abroad.

She loves getting to know different cultures by immersing herself in cities and their vibrant neighborhoods, and trying local gastronomy. She enjoys reading, her morning coffee and taking her two young daughters to the park.

Born and raised on the island, Lara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and a Master's in Journalism from the University of Puerto Rico. She is fluent in Spanish and English, with basic conversational skills in Portuguese.
